FAQ
What is Every?
Every is a media and software company that publishes a daily newsletter about what comes next in technology. We also build software products, offer courses, and provide AI consulting and training services. We were founded in 2020.
What's included?
Your subscription includes unlimited access to our daily newsletter; our archive of hundreds of in-depth articles; software products like Cora, Monologue, Sparkle, and Spiral; and our Discord community. You’ll also get priority access and subscriber-only discounts to courses, events, and more, as well as an ad-free reading experience.
How often will I be receiving Every in my inbox?
We publish one essay each weekday and a weekly digest on Sundays.
How can I pitch a story?
What we publish. Every publishes in-depth, long-form writing that offers thoughtful analysis, commentary, unique insights, and actionable advice. Our essays do double duty: they satisfy readers’ curiosity today and prototype the businesses that the world will build tomorrow. Put simply, we believe that writing is an R&D lab for the future.
We publish the following story formats by external writers (with examples for each):
- Workflows unplugged: an under-the-hood look at how a founder or a team uses technology or workflows.
- Big picture thinking: essays that unpack big trends or illustrate how technology changes creativity, business or society.
- Guides and playbooks: practical how-tos, frameworks and lessons learned by successful company builders and technologists.
Additionally, we publish day-zero reviews of new AI models and tools based on real testing as part of our Vibe Check series. Finally, on our podcast AI & I, we interview influential figures in business, tech, economics, or finance.
What we look for. There are three qualities we look for in an Every piece:
- Is it new? At Every, we seek to bring our readers ideas that they’ve never seen before. You don’t have to be the first person to ever cover the topic, but it does need to offer a unique perspective or surprising insight.
- Is it true? Our stories are grounded in personal experience or backed by facts, anecdotes, interviews, and/or data.
- Is it useful? Readers come to Every for ideas and insights they can use to improve their work and their lives. We look for pieces that offer either tactical advice or a new way of thinking about tech or the world.
How to pitch us. You can send pitches to our editor in chief, Kate Lee (kate@every.to), and managing editor, Eleanor Warnock (eleanor@every.to). Pitches should include a working title and a brief pitch outlining:
- What your piece will be about. Be specific: Tell us what readers will glean from your piece in miniature.
- Why your piece will connect with an audience of people who build the internet. How is it new, true, and useful?
- How you prove your argument. Is it based on personal experience? Is it a reported piece? Will you include data? Analysis from experts?
- Why this matters now. Why is this topic or perspective topical?
Along with your pitch, please attach 2-3 examples of past work you’ve done that speaks to an audience of tech operators and builders. If you don’t have writing samples, tell us a bit about why you think you’d be good at it, even if you haven’t done it before. If it’s a good fit, we’ll hop on a call to work out the details and align on a timeline.

Essays about the future are great MVPs for new software products. We write about the future, and then we make it with software—which helps us write more. If you’re interested in building with us, check out our product studio.
